How wonderful it is to have a blog! I can post whatever I want when I want it.

Even more wonderful I won’t post some stupid question with no opinion on some matter just to get traffic!!! Yeah, if you want me to unsubscribe from your blog just post a 2 line question about the topic of the day with no insight and you can be sure I will unsubscribe from your blog only meant to get meaningless traffic. At the moment I have two blogs on my mind that are too often like that but since I’m a nice guy I’ll keep like that …

The very sad thing is that I thought those blogs were nice places to meet indie game developers. Then it turned out to be just some “get x10 traffic to your blog” kinda blogs. Stupid wasted experience …

Since very few people are reading my blog I don’t care to get a bit “off topic” and will invite the people reading me to listen to some Dream Theater. Surprisingly it’s a not so well known well rock group that I will qualify here (oh I like the power to write whatever I like) the actual Pink Floyd of our generation. “Our generation” is whatever you think qualify as “your generation” by the way.

Want meaningful music? Need some kind of heavy side? Need people that actually know a bit about their instrument? Then Dream Theater is for you. My personal favorite is their concept album Metropolis Part 2. If you are into stories and progressive rock music than I’ll be damned if you don’t like this album. Just listen to the lyrics at least …

Maybe something a bit easier to start with would be Train of thought. It’s much easier to relate to if you’re fan of bands like Metallica but it’s a bit much deeper than that. Just count the number of notes these guys hit in a single song and your mind will explode.

I’ve seen this band live once and it was just like the album. Not in a bad way … They are clean. Everything is perfect. Nothing is sloppy. What you hear on the album is the real thing …

Stupid metal? I think not. Just listen to them. Again Metropolis Part 2 is your best bet if you like concept albums. If you think progressive rock is dead then change your mind right away … Trying it is adopting it …
